Bridgeton Cross – Creative Themes    

Mar – May 10    

Commission through Glasgow City Council.  A series of workshops in Dalmarnock Primary School, devised in association with Clyde Gateway to enable and inspire P5 pupils to generate a body of text and images to be included in the inscription of the planned granite paving at Bridgeton Cross.

 

 

Reaching Out to Reggio

Commission for Glasgow City Council.  A series of workshops with accompanying CPD for thirteen Glasgow nurseries based on the activities piloted in East Ayrshire (see below).

Feminine Agenda

80 minute video documentary examining the work of playwrights Liz Lochhead, Sue Glover, Ann Marie Di Mambro and Nicola McCartney.  Sustainable resource to support Contemporary Scottish Theatre unit of Higher Still Drama.  SAC Lottery Fund in partnership with 10 Local Authorities.

A Rose By Any Other Name

Literary and dramatic exploration of Romeo and Juliet for students of Higher English.  Full stage production at Mitchell Theatre. Part of Glasgow City Council’s Inspiration from Word Festival  ’99. Revived in 2001 for schools tour supported by Glasgow City, North Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire Councils.

 

 

Angry Young Men

National schools tour. Theatre presentation examining John Byrne’s The Slab Boys and Ann Marie Di Mambro’s Brothers of Thunder to support Contemporary Scottish Theatre Unit of Higher Still Drama. Funded by LT Scotland.

 

 











Playboys of the West

Jul -Oct 99

90 minute video documentary examining six plays by writers David Greig, Stephen Greenhorn and David Harrower.  Sustainable resource to support Contemporary Scottish Theatre unit of Higher Still Drama.

Funded by Glasgow City Council, with support from 14 Local Authorities.

The Write Stuff

Live multi-media presentation for schools exploring Passing Places and Quelques Fleurs, using recorded video interviews with playwrights Stephen Greenhorn and Liz Lochhead to support Contemporary Scottish Theatre Unit of Higher Still Drama. Part of Glasgow City Council’s Inspiration from Word Festival  ’98 with subsequent schools tour.
